1 3/4 c. flour
3/4 tsp. soda
1 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt 1/3 c. shortening
2/3 c. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 c. mashed bananas

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, soda, cream of tartar and salt together. In separate bowl, cream shortening. Stir in sugar (few tablespoons at a time) and continue beating until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. Add flour mixture alternately with bananas, a small amount at a time. Beat after each addition until smooth. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour (you can put into 2 smaller loaf pans and decrease bake time to 1/2 hour. Check to see when done.)
