1 Pound Beef Stew Meat
2 Cups Sliced Carrots
1 Cup Sliced Celery
1 Cup Diced Green Pepper
1 Cup Diced Onion
1/2 Cup Uncooked Barley
1/4 Cup. Chopped Fresh Parsley
1 Tsp. Salt
3/4 Tsp. Basil
2 Tablespoons Ketchup
3 Good Tsp. of Beef Base (I use Jamison Brand, it is kind of a paste in a jar)
5 Cups Water

Put all the Vegetables in the bottom of Crock Pot. Add, Meat then Barley on top of that. Add Seasonings and then the water. DO NOT STIR!!

Cook on Low Setting for 9-11 Hours.
