5 or 6 large potatoes, grated
2 eggs, beaten
2 large spoonfuls of sugar
2 heaping large spoonfuls of flour
Salt and pepper to taste
Enough milk to make the batter sloppy

Wesson oil for frying

Directions:
Directions:
Place a strained on top of a large mixing bowl. Grate potatoes into the strainer.

In another mixing bowl, combine the starch from first bowl (but not the water) with the eggs and the strained grated potatoes. Add the sugar, flour, salt and pepper and stir. Add in enough milk to make the batter sloppy.

In a large deep skillet, heat a couple of inches of Wesson vegetable oil. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the oil and cook until golden brown before turning them.

(Do a test pancake to see if you need more salt, pepper or milk).
