2 lb. ground chuck
2 large onions chopped
2 dashes Worchestershire sauce
1 6oz. can tomato paste
1 1/2 T. white vinegar
1/2 to 1c. water

1/2 t. cumin
1 t. cinnamon
1/4 t. garlic powder
1 T. chili powder
1/2 t. black pepper
1/2 T. salt
1/2 t. spoon red pepper (optional)
1/2 T allspice
3 whole bay leaves
shredded cheddar cheese

optional 1 can black or kidney beans

Directions:
Brown meat and drain. Add remaining ingredients to slow cooker except beans and cheese. Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6-8 hours. Add beans when chili is done and allow them to heat. This makes a large batch for Coney's and/or chili spaghetti.

variations: 1. substitute ground deer meat for chuck
2. use 1 package beef substitute and a can of black beans instead of chuck for a vegetarian dish. This does not require browning first.
