4 c flour
2 Tbl cornstarch
4 Tbl ground chocolate (unsweetened)
4 tsp baking soda
2 c sugar
1/2 tsp each cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, cloves
2 c chopped nuts
2 c raisins
1/2 tsp salt
3 c cool applesauce
1 c salad oil

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together, flour, cornstarch, chocolate, baking soda, sugar, and spices. Add and mix in nuts, raisins and salt. Make well and add applesauce and salad oil. Mix well. Bake in 9 x 13 pan in preheated oven at 350 degrees for one hour. Just before serving dust with powdered sugar if desired.
