12 Corn Cobs, each cut in several pieces
2 cups Cornmeal
2 pkgs Dry Yeast, dissolved in 1/4 cup warm water
5 lbs Sugar
1 box of Raisins
Yields: About 3 gallons
Cheesecloth - several

In a 10 gallon crock, mix all ingredients together with enough water to cover. Cover with several layers of cheesecloth and let stand in cool place (not refrigerated) for nine days. Strain liquid through the cheesecloth, squeezing the cobs. Return liquid to crock and cover with the cloth and let stand again; another four or five days. Strain once again and bottle; capping loosely. Let stand another couple of weeks before serving.
