1/2 c. white sugar
3 T. unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 c. corn starch
1/8 tsp. salt
2 3/4 c. milk
2 T. butter or margarine
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
In a saucepan, stir together sugar, cocoa, cornstarch and salt. Place over medium heat and stir in milk. Bring to a boil, and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens enough to coat the back of a metal spoon.

Remove from heat., and stir in margarine and the vanilla. Let cool briefly, and serve warm, or chill in the refrigerator until serving.

Covering the pudding with cling wrap before refrigerating prevents a skin from forming on the pudding.
