3/4 Cup Shortening
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1/4 Cup Molasses
1 Egg

2 1/4 Cup Flour
2 Tsp. Baking Soda
1/2 Tsp. Salt
1 Tsp. Ginger
1 Tsp. Cinnamon
1/2 Tsp. Cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening, brown sugar, molasses and egg.

Mix in flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon and cloves.

Form into small balls and roll in granulated sugar.

Bake at 375º for 10 minutes.

Cool in pan for a few minutes, then remove to rack and continue cooling.
