Ingredients:
2 pkg. (2 T) yeast
1/2 cup lukewarm water
1-1/2 cups flour

3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 egg

additional 1-3/4 cups flour
1-1/2 cups peeled diced apples
3/4 cups butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 Tbsp. water
1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
3/4 cup chopped nuts, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve 2 pkg yeast with warm water, set aside to dissolve. In a large mixing bowl, measure and set aside 1-1/2 cups flour. In a small saucepan, heat until warm; milk, 1/4 c. butter, sugar and salt. Add to mixing bowl and mix. Add dissolved yeast and mix. Add 1 egg and mix; beat on high for 3 minutes. Stir in diced apples, and slowly fold in the additional 1-3/4 cups of flour, until it is smooth, like bread. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes-1 hour. While dough is rising, combine and heat until melted, 3/4 c. butter brown sugar, cinnamon, water, and corn syrup (and nuts, if you want them). Pour melted butter, sugar and spices into a 9 x 13 buttered glass baking dish. Drop dough by globs into mixture. *At this point, it is optional to let it rise again, but you don't have to. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes; cool 1 minute. Cover with a cookie sheet and invert. Pick at it while it is still hot.
