1 cup water
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
1/4 cup cocoa powder
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1/2 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon baking soda

Frosting:

1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
3 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chopped pecans(optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Bring water, butter and cocoa to boil and stir until butter is melted. Pour over flour, sugar, and salt. Mix well. Mix in eggs, sour cream and baking soda. Pour into a large, shallow (11 x 16) greased cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

Frosting: Cook over medium/low heat until butter is melted and mixture is thick and bubbly. Mix in 3 cups powdered sugar. Remove from heat, add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Mix until creamy. Spread on hot cake. Nuts can be added into the frosting, or dusted over the top.
