Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 c sugar
1/2 c clear corn syrup (Karo)
4 T butter
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 c pecan halves
1 unbaked pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat the oven for 400º.

Beat the eggs well. Add sugar, syrup, butter and vanilla.

Place the pecans in the unbaked pie shell and pour mixture over the pecans.

Bake on a rimmed tray for 10 minutes at 400º and then 35-55 minutes at 375º.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
The huge time difference comes with how fast your oven will cool down. Golden brown is good, but the pie can char the sugars quickly. And the rimmed tray is REALLY important. I set the oven on fire because of spilled sugar. Ooops.
