Ingredients:  
2 lbs. fresh or frozen okra
1.5 lbs. stew meat (lamb, beef or pork)
1 can diced tomatoes or 2 fresh
5 crushed garlic cloves
1 lg. onion chopped
1/4 c. oil
2 c. water (start off with 1/4 cup and add as needed)
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 to 1 tsp allspice ( this gives it the N. African flavor)

Directions:

Brown stew meat,garlic and onions in the oil.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Add okra, tomatoes, water and allspice.
Start off with 1/2 tsp allspice and add more to taste later.
Simmer over low to medium heat until it all cooks together and begins to fall apart.
Serve over a scoop of rice.
