1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
1 (18 oz.) box yellow cake mix
1/2 c. butter
1 c. chopped pecans (opt.)

Directions:
In an ungreased 9x13 baking dish, evenly spread pineapple; on top of pineapple spread cherry pie mix. Evenly spread the dry cake mix over the fruit. Sprinkle the pecans over all if you are using them. Slice butter thinly and cover the entire top. Bake in preheated 350º oven, about 30-40 minutes
