3/4 cup shortening
3/4 cup peanut butter
2 1/4 cups sugar
5 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup chopped peanuts

Directions:
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, cream the shortening, peanut butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; beat into creamed mixture just until blended. Stir in the chocolate chips and peanuts. Spread the batter into a greased 15x10x1-in. baking pan. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
