Directions: |
Directions:Saute green pepper, onion and ground beef, and garlic in large pot until meat is browned. Drain and return to pot. Add remaining sauce ingredients. Taste and adjust spices as needed. Turn to simmer and cook while preparing meatballs. Combine all meatball ingredients except milk and bread crumbs. Add these to make a wet meatloaf mix. Let set for 15 min and then mix again. Make meatballs and drop carefully into hot sauce. When all meatballs are in sauce, cover and turn heat to low setting. Cook for 45 min. before stirring, or until meatballs are set. I cook on low for another 2 hours, stirring occasionally. |

Notes: This is a recipe that my Mother taught me many years ago and it has changed some over time. As with any family pass down recipe, the amounts are only general ,as I do whatever comes into my head that day.
