Personal Notes:
I remember preparing and cooking this recipe for the first time with my Mom watching over me. I feel her presence in my kitchen today, and I remember her guidance while we worked this recipe. I was fifteen, and that was the first time I made lasagna. I was trying to impress my boyfriend at the time, and convince my Dad that I was as good a cook as Mom. I only succeeded with her efforts.
