One can kidney beans well drained put in a bowl, add 2 small pickles either sweet or sour chopped fairly fine. Add 1 or 2 hard boiled eggs, green peppers and some shredded lettuce. Mix with mayonaise. Also add young sprays (sprigs/leaves) of celery & some chopped onion.

I can see in my mind's eye Mim making this salad for summertime supper. And, we all enjoyed it immensely. Simple ingredients made a symphony of flavors that exploded in our mouths. How I miss those days.
