2 T. chicken fat, 1 1/2 T. Flour (salt, pepper, paprika, boiling water, milk)

Directions:
Directions:
Blend chicken fat and flour together and stir until richly browned. Add 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/8 tsp. pepper, 1/2 tsp. paprika, 1/2 c. boiling water. Cook until smooth & thickened stirring constantly. Add 1 c. milk & blend.

Mom wrote this recipe in her cookbook on page 113, and it was the last entry indexed (yes, she created a recipe index for her cookbook) at the back of the book. It shared the page with a recipe for "A Good Punch." Hmmmm, wonder if there's any correlation.
