1 cube butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg beaten
1 c. raisins
1 c. chopped nuts
1 3/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 c. hot applesauce

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar, add egg, add flour, raisins, and nuts. Put soda, salt & spices in flour, add applesauce.
Line pan with waxed paper - Bake 1 hour in moderate oven.

Personal Notes:
The cube of butter equals 2 tablespoons in equivalency. A moderate oven is 350 degrees.
