1 cup butter
2 cups chopped onion
2 cups chopped celery
1/4 cup parsley
2 - 8 oz. cans mushrooms, drained (opt.)
12 cups slightly dry bread cubes
1 t. poultry seasoning
2 well beaten eggs
1 1/2 t. salt
1 1/2 t. sage
1 t. thyme
1/2 t. pepper
1/2 t. marjoram (opt.)
3 to 4 cups chicken broth
diced giblets (opt.)

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in skillet and saute onion, celery, parsley and mushrooms. Pour over bread cubes in a very lg. mixing bowl. Add all seasonings and toss together well. Pour in enough broth to moisten; add beaten eggs and mix together well. Pack lightly into Crock-pot. Cover and set to High for 45 minutes; then reduce to Low to cook for 4 to 8 hours.

This is very good. It helps free up oven space. If to dry, add more chicken broth. If to moist, leave off lid for awhile.
