1 # fully cooked Little Smoked Sausages
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup water
1 t. salt
2 t. pickling spice
2 t. crushed red pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Put sausages into a one quart jar. Combine sugar, vinegar, water, salt, pickling spice, and red pepper in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Pour over sausages. Sausages should be covered with liquid. If not, add vinegar. Cover and store in the refrigerator. Shake once a day to mix. Ready to eat in 3 days. If would like them hotter, add more red pepper. After sausages are gone, you can add hard boiled eggs to the juice.
