2 c sugar
1 c shortening
3 eggs
1/2 c sour cream
4 tsp soda
1 c molasses
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
5-6 c flour

Frosting:
1 1/2 c sugar
1/2 c water
1 tsp vinegar
2 egg whites
12 marshmallows
Directions:
Directions:
Cookies: Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs, sour cream and molasses and mix well. Mix dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Roll out cookie dough, cut into cookies and bake at 350 degrees until firm.

Frosting: Mix all ingredients and cook to medium ball stage. Pour over 2 well beaten egg whites. Add cut-up marshmallows. Mix well and frost cookies when cool.º
