1 peeled clove of garlic
1 halved onion
4 T. butter
1 t. Worcestershire sauce
1 qt. raw oysters
1 qt. milk, scalded
1 1/2 t. salt
1/8 t. pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Rub the inside of the saucepan well with the garlic, and remove them. Melt the butter in this saucepan, add the Worcestershire sauce and the oysters (carefully picked over) and heat just until the edges begin to curl. Finally add the scalded milk, seasonings, and serve immediately.
