2 eggs beaten
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup hot milk.

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs until creamy yellow
Add sugar and beat one minute
Add flour and baking powder with salt
Add hot milk
Mix well, pour into single layer cake pan, bake at 350 for about 35 minutes.

Alma used this for all cakes, she added orange she used it for an upside down peach or pineapple, etc. A very handy recipe to have around in a pinch. Great for strawberry shortcake.
