1 head of purple cabbage-thinly sliced 1 thinly slice onion bacon grease 1 1/2 c, wine vinegar sugar to taste (barely sweet-still tangy) 1 1/2 T. Hungarian paprika 1 tsp. caraway seed salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Brown onion in bacon grease with paprika. Put wine vinegar in bowl, add sugar to taste. Should be barely sweet, but still tangy. Turn down heat and add wine vinegar mixture. Mix in sliced cabbage 1/4 at a time. Season with salt and pepper to taste, add caraway seed. Cook until cabbage is limp. Serve with pork chops.
