Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 ¾ c. flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
½ tsp. ground ginger
¼ tsp. ground cloves
½ tsp. salt
1 large egg
1 c. dark brown sugar
1 ½ c. canned pumpkin pie filling
8 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
1 c. chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Adjust an oven rack to the middle position and heat the oven to 375 degrees. Spray muffins tins with nonstick cooking spray (or line with paper liners). Whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and salt in a medium bowl until combined. Whisk together egg and brown sugar in a large bowl until combined. Add the pumpkin pie filling to the egg mixture and whisk to combine. Add the butter and stir vigorously until thick and homogeneous. Add half of the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture and stir with a rubber spatula or wooden spoon until the two begin to come together; then add the remaining dry ingredients and stir until just combined (do not over mix!). Toss in chocolate chips. Fill the muffin tins with batter and bake until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean, 18-22 minutes, rotating the pan from front to back halfway through the baking time. Cool the muffins in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
