3 c. of plain flour
tsp. baking powder
3 c. of sugar
1 c. of butter (2 sticks)
6 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Do not preheat oven. Sift flour and baking powder together. Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each egg. Add vanilla. Add milk and flour alternately. Mix well. Spray tube pan or bunt pan with cooking spray and pour in batter. Place in oven and turn it on at 325 degrees. Bake 1 hour and 30 minutes. Do Not open the oven for the first hour while baking.

To make Coconut Pound Cake add 1 cup coconut to batter.
To make Chocolate Pound Cake add 1/4 cup cocoa to flour before adding to batter.
