1 c butter
1 c shortening
1c powdered sugar
1 c granulated sugar
2 eggs
4 c flour
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and shortening; add sugar and eggs and mix well. Add flour, cream of tartar, and baking soda. Roll dough in small balls and flatten with glass dipped in sugar. Bake 5-10 minutes at 350 until lightly browned.
