4 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 c. butter
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking powder

Directions:
Preheat oven 350º. Cream butter and sugar; add egg and vanilla mixing well. Slowly add flour and baking powder mix well. Roll dough on well-floured surface and cut out in scalloped circles with cookie cutter. Bake approximate. 10 min. until lightly browned. Cool. Put 2 cookies together with seedless raspberry jam. Ice with icing (recipe follows) on one side and decorate with maraschino cherry piece.
Icing: icing sugar plus a few drops of almond extract and enough milk to make a nice spreading consistency to not run off the cookie.
