8 cups chopped, peeled pears (add a few tsps. lemon juice as you are chopping to prevent browning)
2 tbsp. cinnamon
4 cups sugar
1 tsp. ground cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a large kettle; simmer 1 1/2 - 2 hours or until thick, stirring frequently. Pour into sterilized jars and process in boiling water bath 10 minutes.
