4 qts. sliced cucumbers
8 small onions, sliced
1/2 c. salt
5 c. sugar
5 c. cider vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
2 tsp. mustard seed
1 T. celery seed
3 cloves garlic, chopped fine

Directions:
Directions:
sprinkle cucumbers and onions with salt. Cover with ice cubes and let stand for 3 - 10 hours. Combine sugar, vinegar and spices in large kettle; bring to a boil. Drain cucumbers and onions and add to sugar mixture. Bring to a boil. Pack into hot canning jars at once. Process pints 5 minutes or quarts 10 minutes in hot water bath.
