3 heads of cabbage
1 onion minced
1 carrot shredded
1/2 green pepper minced
celery seed to taste
dressing
2 1/2 cups of vinegar
6 cups of sugar
5 teaspoons of salt

Directions:
Directions:
shredd to carrot and cabbage and onion into a large dish pan sprinkle with a little salt and pepper
add the green pepper and celery seed mix well meanwhile heat the vinegar and sugar till the sugar is dissolved add the salt and let cool slightly pour over the cabbage mixture and stir let cool in fridge overnight keeps very well

I worked as a teen ager at the frosty trete in bedford for straights and this was one of the many jobs I had was making slaw and tarter sauce
