2 cups brown sugar
1 cup butter
3 eggs
31/2 cups flour
1 tsp soda in a little water
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 pkg dates
1/2 cup water
2 tbs sugar
Directions:
Directions:
Cook dates, water, and 2 tbsp sugar until thick and keep separate from cookie dough. Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and remaining ingredients and mix well. Drop spoonful of dough, add spoonful of date mixture, top with spoonful of dough. Bake at 350º until lightly browned
