1/2 cup all purpose flour,
2 T. onions,
1 T sugar,
2 tsp. baking powder,
1 tsp. salt,
1/4 tsp. pepper,
1 egg (beaten),
1 cup milk,
1/8 tsp. garlic

Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Drop by teaspoons into hot oil (fry daddy) and leave till brown.
