2 TB olive oil
1 large onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minded
1 lb. ground turkey breast or hamburger
8 oz. sliced mushrooms
2 15 oz. cans tomato sauce
1/2 c. parmesan cheese
1 tsp. sugar
1 bay leaf
1 tsp. dried oregano
2 tsp. dried basil
1/2 tsp. black pepper
salt to taste

Saute onion, garlic, and meat in olive oil until cooked. Add mushrooms and cook until done. Add tomato sauce and remaining ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes. Remove bay leaf and serve with favorite pasta and fresh parmesan.
