Waffles:
2 cups flour
2 tbsp baking powder
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt
mix dry ingredients and set aside
4 eggs, separated
1 1/2 cups milk
1 cup pumpkin
3/4 cup butter
1 tbsp vanilla

Buttermilk syrup:

1 cube butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 tsp karo syrup
bring to boil
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients. separate eggs. Beat egg yolks slightly. Add milk, pumpkin, butter and vanilla. Add to flour mixture. Beat 4 egg whites to stiff peaks, and fold into pumpkin mixture. Cook in waffle iron and serve with hot buttermilk syrup.

For syrup, mix butter, sugar, buttermilk and karo and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and stir. Add
baking soda and vanilla. Mixture will fizz to twice the size. Let set, stirring occasionally. Serve while
hot.
