Ranger Cookies Recipe

1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs, beaten
3tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup coconut
2 cups cornflakes
2 cups quick oatmeal
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup nuts

Cream sugars and shortening; add the eggs which have been beaten slightly with the milk and vanilla.
Add coconut. Mix together the corn flakes, oatmeal, nuts and sifted dry ingredients. Add to the creamed mixture. Mix all together well. Drop by teaspoons full on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees until brown.

These are really good and keep well. If you slightly undercook them, they are soft yet crunchy. A 4th ward favorite.
