1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 cups milk
vanilla

Melt butter. Add sugar; stir until golden brown. Add milk and stir on medium high heat until melted through. Add a capful of vanilla. Stir until thickened. Boil for 3-5 minutes. This is delicious served over cake.

This is a recipe of granny's that I loved as a child. I got this recipe from her and have never forgotten how delicious it was when she made it. It is so easy and so good.
