1/2 cup butter
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 Tsp. vanilla
1 cup flour

8 oz. cream cheese
1 egg
1/2 Tsp. vanilla
1/4 cup sugar

Sliced apples (peeled)
1/4 cup sugar
Cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Knead together the butter, flour, sugar and vanilla to make a shortbread-like dough. Press this into a springform pan (and up the sides) or into a pie plate.

Beat together the cream cheese, egg, vanilla and sugar until smooth and spread over shortbread base.

Toss apples with sugar and cinnamon. Arrange over cream cheese filling.

Bake at 400F for 30 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
