Mix together thoroughly;

1 cup soft butter
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup sifted powdered sugar

Sift together and stir in:

2 1/2 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
Mix in:

3/4 cup finely chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Chill dough. Roll into I" balls. Place on ungreased baking sheet (cookies do not spread. You can shape them into crescents, too.) Bake in 400 degree oven for 10 - 12 minutes until set, but not brown. While still warm, roll in powdered sugar. Cool and roll in powdered sugar again.
