2 Ibs beef chuck or London broil, cut in 1" chunks
2 tbsp oil
4 cups boiling water
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 garlic cloves
1 onions
1 tbsp salt
1 tsp sugar
2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
dash allspice or cloves
6 carrots
4-5 potatoes

Directions:
Directions:
Dredge meat in flour. Brown on all sides in oil. Add meat and all ingredients except carrots and potatoes in large stockpot or crock pot. Simmer - don't boil - for 2 hours. Add carrots and potatoes,
cook until done - 1 hour or so.

Gravy: for 3 cups liquid in pot, put 1/ /2 cup water in jar. Add 1/4 cup all purpose flour. Shake to mix
flour and water. Add mixture slowly to meat stock stirring constantly. Cook 5 minutes longer until
thickened and serve.
