1/2 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 cup evaporated milk
3 cups + 2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
Optional: nuts, coconut, chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening, brown sugar, and white sugar.
Add eggs and evaporated milk. Sift together flour, salt, and soda and add to first mixture. Add optional ingredients if desired.
Drop on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.
