1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
3 cups canned crushed tomatoes
2 lbs ground beef
2 tbsp chopped garlic
2 cups chopped onion
1 cup green bell pepper
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 box elbow macaroni
3 cups grated cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 350. Cook the macaroni according to the package, drain and set aside. Heat oil in skillet, add peppers, onions and garlic, saute until soft. Add ground beef and brown. Add tomatoes, salt and pepper to taste. Add basil, cumin, and oregano.

In a large bowl combine macaroni and beef mixture. Spread the mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish. Top with cheddar cheese and bake for 25 minutes or until cheese is bubbly. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
