Pie Crust (frozen food section)
6 slices of bacon
1 medium onion
3 beaten eggs
1 ½ c. half and half
¼ tsp. salt
Dash of Nutmeg
1 ½ c. shredded swiss cheese (6 oz.)
1 Tbsp. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Line an un-pricked pastry shell with a double thickness of foil. Bake in a 450 degree oven for 8 minutes; remove foil and bake 4-5 additional minutes. Remove from oven and reduce heat to 325 degrees. Crisp bacon and crumble. Cook sliced onion in reserve drippings. In mixing bowl stir together eggs, half and half, salt and nutmeg. Stir in bacon and onion. Toss together cheese and flour and add to egg mixture-stir well. Pour egg mixture into hot, baked pastry shell. Bake in oven for 35-40 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

Option: For those heart healthy individuals, we usually fill the quiche with broccoli, turkey bacon, or ham, mushrooms, bell peppers and any other yummy vegetables.
