Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 lb short ribs or spare ribs (cut into 4" pieces)
Salt, pepper, cumin, onion powder & paprika
2 cloves garlic, sliced
Liquid smoke
BBQ Sauce
Golden Corn Syrup
1 onion, sliced
2-3 oz Jack Daniels Sour Mash Whiskey
1/4 cup Vinegar
1 roll heavy duty aluminum foil
Olive oil to coat foil

Directions:
Directions:
Cut ribs into pieces and place in a pan with water and vinegar. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 25 minutes. When finished boiling drain and cool ribs until they can be easily handled.
Roll out 2 foot length of foil and fold in half. This will be what you build your rib layers on. You will need a much larger piece of foil to wrap the ribs in once they are stacked. Do not go higher than 5 layers. (Start a new package instead.)
Coat foil bottom with olive oil (flax oil works too!). Add 1/2 onion slices to bottom and place first layer of ribs with bone side down on top (only 4 ribs per layer). Dust the top of this layer with salt, pepper, cumin, onion powder and paprika.
Lightly coat ribs with BBQ sauce and then corn syrup. You will repeat these 2 steps until all ribs are gone. (If you like sweet and spicy, add more corn syrup and BBQ sauce) Once last layer is done and coated add last of onions and a few dashes of liquid smoke and garlic. Pour JD over top and seal up foil well. This may require 2 additional wraps with foil to ensure no leakages!
Set oven to 375F and place foil on tray. Cook for 1 1/2 hours. Foil will swell a little indicating the ribs are HAPPY! Flip them over to the other side of foil and cook 2 hours at 325F. SMELL THEM! Serve hot from the oven.
