Ingredients:  
1 large slim cucumber sliced 1/4 inch thick
1 medium onion - red is best sliced into rings
3/4 cup of vinegar
1 cup water
3 T of sugar (may want more according to taste)
1 t salt
pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Mix vinegar, water, sugar, salt, and pepper
Stir to dissolve
Pour over cucumbers and onions
Refrigerate several hours before serving

Great memories of Kristen, Corinne, and Peagreen (Grandpa) bringing fresh onions and cucumbers from his garden, and Honeygrams would make this for Dad.
The vinegar solution may taste a bit strong before adding to cucumbers and onions. Remember the veggies will dilute its strength.
