1 pkg (16 oz.) hot or mild Portuguese sausage, sliced
2 carrots, chopped
2 potatoes, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
2 tsp. salt
1 quart (32 oz.) water
2 cans (15 oz. each) kidney beans, drained
½ to 1 head cabbage, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
In a large pot, combine sausage, carrots, potatoes, onion, tomato sauce, salt, and water. Bring to a boil, cover. Simmer over low heat for 20 minutes. Add beans and cabbage. Simmer for 15 minutes longer.
