4-5 large onions sliced into rings
4 T. butter or oil
1 t. sugar
1 c. water
4-5 T. flour
6 c. water
2 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper
2-3 t. onion sp. mix

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onion rings in butter. Add sugar. Stir in flour and 1 c. water until smooth. Add 6 c. water, salt, pepper and onion sp. mix. Bring to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes.

Delicious when eaten with toasted baguette with melted cheese. You can also eat it with shredded cheese and croutons put in bowl right before serving.
