1/2 c butter
1/3 c white sugar
2/3 c brown sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 1/2 c flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 tsp soda
1 tsp vanilla
1 c pecan halves

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter. Add sugars, egg, flour mixed with soda, salt, and vanilla. Shape in several rolls, approximately 1 1/2" in diameter and 12" long. Wrap in waxed paper and refrigerate or freeze until dough is very firm. Cut into 1/2" thick slices and place on greased cookie sheet. Top each cookie with a pecan half. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes or until they look done (watch carefully, they can burn easily!)
