2 lbs. Fresh Okra
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 C. Cornmeal
4 Tsp. Bacon Grease

Directions:
Directions:
Wash okra & drain. I recommend you use smaller pods not large ones.Large ones may have to be boiled in salted water til tender, prior to frying.
Cut off tip and stem, cut in 1/2 slices. Season with salt and pepper, dredge in cornmeal. Saute in bacon drippings til golden brown.
